If your an internet junkie this websites pretty awesome for like everything that gets passed around the net, i could get lost on this sight for hours. Lots of the funny stuff like tron guy, and keyboard cat etc etc. but also other just really interesting stuff…
…A while ago i found THIS and it was actually quite touching, and i dont say that a lot. It was about a homeless guy in china, who got noticed for his sense of style and became a bit of internet sensation with people traveling miles to try and spot him. They nicknamed him ‘Brother Sharp’ and he had heaps of female fans. Brother sharp was sadly a little bit mental though. The bit that got me was this, said by a guy that befriended him:
Brother Sharp once said, “Find a girl to love me.”
… “He wanted to have a wife and a home. So, he puts on woman’s clothing and imagine himself as a woman. That way, combined, he would have both happiness and a home. Some people may laugh him, some people would make fun of him. But who will go to help him? to understand him?”
This while obviously showing he’d gone a bit mental, i thought was proper sweet.
With some investigation it was found that Brother Sharp, had left home 11 yrs earlier to find work but had lost touch with his family. After finding fame he was reunited with them and went home, perhaps lacking some of his mysterious charm but its a happy ever after in my eyes, one which is set to be turned into a film….
….but yeah ive probably told his story really craply because im really tired. but if your interested click the pic and you can read knowyourmeme.com ‘s much better telling of it, with lots of facts and figures and more pics and video of brother sharp.
Sooo i’ve recently noticed loads of bike images surfacing on my net travels, cause like bikes are so ‘cool and in’ right now. So i thought I’d post some of my favorites…
possibly my favorite because everything looks sexier in black…
Ralph Lauren bikes…
So… I’m concluding that biking’s not just about saving the planet or getting from ‘A to B’ anymore. for those who are rich enough, biking is about to get a whole lot more sexy :D
Struwwel Peter.
I thought i’d continue in the nostalgic theme of childhood seeing as i’ve started saying ‘in my day’ and various other old people phrases. so in light of that i might as well share some of the reasons why my child hood was cool. starting with one of my favorite books from when i was a kid.
when i was little i had this book it is possibly the most strange and slightly messed up kids book you will ever come across, written by a german dude by the name of Heinrich Hoffman. I should also mention it involved poetry, which isn’t terribly cool but hey.
insert wiki quote because im far to lazy to do any real hardcore research:
“Hoffmann, a German psychiatrist, wanted to buy a picture book for his son for Christmas in 1844. Not impressed by what the stores had to offer, he instead bought a notebook and wrote his own stories and pictures”
So how does a german shrink teach his kid morals you ask…
He threatens death or mutilation as a consequence of bad behavior. my personal favorite, ‘Die Geschichte vom Daumenlutscher’
The Story of Little Suck-a-Thumb

Now i’m not saying that’s good parenting, but in the victorian times kids kept there mouths shut, seen and not heard, it was probably because they got told they would be beaten and abused if they were naughty. To be fair they probably did get beaten and abused if they were naughty, but my point is if you want your kid to do what its told perhaps you should threaten it with a pedophile, or an axe murderer. Bet the little buggers would think twice about having a crafty suck then!
For the scans of the whole book click HERE definitely worth a look in my opinion.
look out for Die Geschichte von den schwarzen Buben; the story of the inky boys. nice to see a bit anti racism stuff from germany in the 1800’s even if it is pure lolz!
peace out! x
